New Delhi The Bharatiya Janata Party( BJP) has abstain from making any advertisement on its seeker from Rae Bareli though the party has contended Union minister Smriti Irani from Amethi- a seat she won for the party in 2019 choices. The suspension comes amid enterprises that the Congress may address Priyanka Gandhi from Rae Bareli and Rahul Gandhi from Amethi.
Till now, the Rae Bareli- a Congress fortification- was represented by Sonia Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. In 2019 Lok Sabha choices, Sonia Gandhi defeated BJP’s Dinesh Pratap Singh while Union minister Smriti Irani defeated Rahul Gandhi from Amethi. Experts claim the BJP may formerly again consider Dinesh Pratap Singh, Uttar Pradesh minister of state( independent charge) for horticulture and husbandry marketing, for the seat.
The name of Samajwadi Party revolutionary Manoj Kumar Pandey, who along with numerous other SP MLAs suggested in favour of BJP campaigners in Rajya Sabha choices held on February 27, is also doing rounds in the state’s political circles along with some other names. " BJP will supposedly stay for the Congress seeker from Rae Bareli.
The selection of the BJP’s designee will depend on the Congress’s choice there and this is why the suspension continues on Rae Bareli," said Professor SK Dwivedi, former head of department, political wisdom, Lucknow University, " The BJP isn't keeping any suspension. The party has declared only its first list. The coming round of party meeting to decide campaigners is on March 6 and the campaigners for remaining seats will come up for conversations also," said Uttar Pradesh BJP vice chairman Vijay Bahadur Pathak, according to HT.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dispute from Varanasi for a third time as the BJP released its first list of 195 campaigners for the Lok Sabha pates, naming 34 Union ministers, including heavyweights like Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh from their current Gandhinagar and Lucknow seats independently. Two former principal ministers-- Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Biplab Kumar Deb-- also figure in the list.
The party has dropped over 20 per cent of its MPs, including Union minister Meenakshi Lekhi, former Union minister Harsh Vardhan and Ramesh Bidhuri, who was lately in the news for his controversial commentary against opposition MP Danish Ali. Besides Lekhi, Union minister John Barla( Alipurduar) and Rameswar Teli( Dibrugarh) have also been dropped. Another conspicuous name that didn't find a citation in this list is Sadhvi Pragya Thakur from Bhopal.
