There are no differences between old and  youthful leaders in the Trinamool Congress, the party’s  public general clerk Abhishek Banerjee claimed on Sunday but reiterated that  youngish people always work more because age gives them a natural advantage.

Addressing a party meeting at Diamond Harbour, his Lok Sabha constituency, the whoreson of  principal minister Mamata Banerjee said “ Why are people talking about divisions in the TMC these days? There's no  similar thing. still, it's true that I've said  youngish people are more active. In 2023, I spent  further than two months leading the Nabo Joar( new  surge)  crusade.

I can do this because I'm 36. Will I be inversely active when I'm 70? Age is  surely a big factor. ”  It was Abhishek who raised the age factor several times at party meetings over the last two times,  driving guarded  responses from his followers and the old-  timekeepers who left the Congress with Mamata Banerjee when she launched the TMC in 1998.

The differences increased in recent months amid  enterprises that  numerous of the  stager Lok Sabha members might not be nominated again in 2024.   Of the 42 seats in Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party( BJP) wrested 18 while the Congress retained two in 2019, forcing the TMC to close its census at 22.   As Abhishek maintained silence over the  once two weeks and stayed down from  festivity of the party’s 27th foundation day at the TMC headquarters in Kolkata on January 1, the  stewing differences came to the fore.

“ I believe Abhishek won't withdraw himself from the coming electoral battle. I'm sure he'll fight keeping Mamata Banerjee in the  van, ” TMC president Subrata Bakshi, a  stager, said at the event.  Abhishek gave his reply on Sunday.   “ My focus will of course be on Diamond Harbour but I'll do my stylish to carry out any responsibility the party gives me. I've always served the party to the stylish of my capability.

I  noway  said I'll stay down from the  crusade, ” said the  youthful MP.   The BJP took a drumfire at the TMC on the issue.   still, ” said Suvendu Adhikari, leader of the opposition in the state legislative assembly, “ If Abhishek Banerjee has said  commodity on age  also the  stager TMC MPs  similar as Saugata Roy should be addressing it because they face the  extremity.   Roy didn't  note on the issue.

Adhikari also targeted Abhishek for  publicizing on Sunday that around 76,000  elderly citizens in Diamond Harbour constituency will be getting a yearly old- age pension of ₹ 1,000 each from coming month, a new scheme that has not been  enforced yet in Bengal.   “ I'm sure the state government will  apply this scheme in all  sections, ” Banerjee said while making the  advertisement.

“ This is an attempt to buy votes and has been done in  discussion with his aunt. But it wo n’t help him win. Whoever the BJP fields from Diamond Harbour will win. He'll come third in the race if the Indian temporal Front( ISF) contests, ” Adhikari said.   Nawsad Siddique, the sole ISF MLA in the state assembly,  blazoned in December that he'll  dispute against Banerjee.
